The acting in this film is exceptional for it being cast with relatively unknown actors except for Dylan Sprouse.

The teacher makes some critical errors that a typical teacher would not (such as announcing he's applying for a different job in front of his current students), and the student manages to utterly confuse him until the plot demands that he suddenly know what to do.

I mean really makes the movie. But I found this movie to be predictable from start to finish, with none of the unexpected twists and turns that make for compelling edge-of-your-seat drama. You'll find several meme-worthy moments, like when Lucas, played by Dylan Sprouse, first rejects his B+.
