Some people accidentally talk to this emissary and complete FG before finishing the rest of the game, then get confused/disappointed/frustrated when they find out that they really weren't supposed to do that. We're level 55 by the way.if you have a FG expansion you can start there as soon as youve finished warden krieg. My group never got the expansions, so because of issues we'd read about multiplayer issues with versions, we never picked them up. Or is Veteran just that much harder? And if so, should I switch to elite so it can feel challenging and rewarding? No, do it. Grim Dawn > General Discussions > Topic Details Ork Edward Mar 26, 2019 @ 3:15am What level does the forgotten gods expansion start @? Although, the penultimate boss in FG has given a lot of people a lot of trouble.
Did we not actually complete it? I definitely wasn't overleveled. Forgotten Gods is a fantastic expansion, and I recommend everyone who plays Grim Dawn purchase both Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods. He was a pushover by comparison.Would you say the bosses are harder than the AoM bosses?Who's the end boss (with spoilers included for anyone not yet done)? Haven't gotten that far yet myself but that's how I'm doin it.
That being said, I did find the trash mobs in Forgotten Gods much easier to deal with than those in Ashes of Malmouth.Maybe I'm wrong, but I think FG is just flat out easier than AoM.
if my elemental resist is low i do AoM first. if my resistance is low on aether and poison and bleeding then i do FG first. All trademarks are property of their respective owners in the US and other countries.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think FG is just flat out easier than AoM. However, when I started the Forgotten Gods campaign, the beginning trash, enemy heroes, and bosses felt easy? was much, much more challenging than the final boss. It's not a balanced play experience. You just don't. its worth it for the faction rep and the movement skills aloneI think I am going to take your advice so I wouldn't have to grind harder on elite. When you get to the end boss, you might change your tune.I actually thought the 2nd to last boss (no spoilers ha!) At what point do I start playing the DLCs, and any suggestions on difficulties?I am running a char on a full playthrough just to see how experience evens out on full map clear (including rogue dungeons), but no replays, so it may serve you as a benchmark:I reached Fort Ikon so far at lvl 79, my guess is, after I clear SoT, BoC and Port Valbury, I'll start elite AoM at lvl 81.They are to be played in sequential order. This makes me sad, and at the same time questioning about the future. I ended up overlevelled and it kinda ruined the rest of the main campaign run.You could probably do something like that on Ultimate... but it is just a bad plan on Normal or Elite.New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castA subreddit dedicated to Grim Dawn, an action role-playing game developed and published by Crate Entertainment.Press J to jump to the feed. Finished it yesterday on normal with my buddy and it seemed easy. Grim Dawn > General Discussions > Topic Details EverDownward Dec 30, 2019 @ 9:09pm Suggested level to start the Forgotten Gods DLC? So don't talk to the emissary (or at least don't play through FG) until after beating AoM.I'm not sure why they made the emissary accessible so early on. I wanted to start the game but I wanna know if I should buy the expansion before doing it. Last night, i finish a normal campaign of AoM with my level 66 shieldbreaker and enjoyed it immensely. Ashes of Malmouth picks up where the base game leaves off and Forgotten Gods is intended for after you beat Ashes of Malmouth. This emissary takes the player to the FG area. I heard somewhere the best way to do it is main, AoM then FG. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts
